Dexter’s Notes

A collection of informal technical notes, experiments, and partial ideas that support ongoing work inside the Laboratory.

Scratchpad

Short, unstructured notes captured during design or analysis sessions.
Examples include:

  • timing considerations
  • interface assumptions
  • constraints for future blocks
  • observations from simulations
  • early architectural sketches

These notes may evolve into full entries or remain as internal references.

Experiments

Preliminary tests, prototypes, and exploratory work.
Typical content:

  • micro‑testbenches
  • waveform snapshots
  • quick RTL variations
  • alternative architectures
  • performance measurements

Experiments are not guaranteed to be stable or complete.

Observations

Technical insights derived from real work.
Examples:

  • unexpected behavior in a protocol
  • synthesis or timing anomalies
  • toolchain quirks
  • reusable patterns discovered during debugging

Observations help refine future architectures and workflows.

Unfinished Work

Ideas or components that are still in progress.
This section may include:

  • partial RTL modules
  • incomplete workflows
  • draft diagrams
  • unresolved design questions

Unfinished work is kept visible to maintain continuity across sessions.

Narrative Layer

Some notes may appear fragmented — this is intentional.
They reflect the Laboratory’s internal thinking process as it unfolds.
