Why this section exists
DexterLab is growing, and as it grows, it becomes important to have a clear, high‑level view of:
- what the Lab contains
- how the sections relate to each other
- where each topic lives
- how to navigate without getting lost

How the Lab is organized
The Lab is built around a simple, clean architecture:
- Theory — the conceptual side, where you understand how things work.
Inside Theory live the major knowledge domains, including digital design, system architecture, functional safety, and hardware security. These are not menu sections: they are deep subdomains of Theory, forming the conceptual backbone of the Lab. - Design Library — the practical side, where you build, simulate, and reuse.
This is where RTL blocks, implementation notes, and reusable components live. - Notes — a small backstage area for drafts, experiments, and internal material.

Each section has a clear purpose, and together they form a coherent system.

The expanded landscape inside Theory
As the Lab evolves, Theory has grown into a structured ecosystem of conceptual domains.
Among them, two have become first‑class citizens:
- Safety — the domain of functional safety (ISO 26262), covering architecture, ASIL levels, FIT metrics, FCCU, watchdogs, diagnostics, safe states, and board‑level fault signaling.
- Security — the domain of hardware and firmware security, covering secure boot, key provisioning, HSMs, PUFs, lifecycle security, firmware update protection, and anti‑tamper mechanisms.
These domains live inside Theory because they are conceptual frameworks, not menu sections.
They expand the Lab’s ability to describe real systems — not just how they work, but how they stay safe and secure.
